Chevrolet auto parts (or more popularly referred to as "chevy auto parts") come in just about every size, shape, color imaginable. With cars on the road for over a hundred years now (The company was formed in 1911 according to Wikipedia) you can assume and know there are a few parts laying around. Those engines are solid and besides a few lemons, overall they last a long time and without trouble. On the other hand take the Chevy Lumina. Not so good.

Regardless, Chevy parts are something most every salvage yard in the United States stocks. One thing to think about though is where the junk yard is. For instance, you may be looking for a recycler in Minnesota but in fact could find a part from California where there is no snow and no salt on the roads, offering a better quality part. The below video is actually for a salvaged 2014 Corvette Stingray and it gives you a good idea of how and what is affected in a front end accident. You can see how some parts are certainly not usable but it also shows how many other parts are in perfect shape and could be used. In this case the car is being sold as a rebuildable one but it could just as easily be parted out. Because it is still running it has more value being rebuilt than parted out. Enjoy!
